Adults, come and enjoy a quiet home with a great view of Gitche Gumee (as Longfellow refers to it…”the Big Sea”.) Gitche Gumee means "Lake Superior"! From the uncovered deck, gaze over the distant water just in time to see the sunrise. This home sits on a 30 ft. bluff, so for safety reasons, children are discouraged from staying. Safely, adults are able to gander at the raw, primitive, Lake Superior shore while lighting a bonfire among friends. This 2-bedroom home, with a master bedroom on the main floor and 3 other beds in the loft area, is a quaint getaway. There is a fully-equipped kitchen, 1 full bathroom, and a dining table that seats 6. Paradise Foods: 8271 M-123, Paradise, MI 49768 - (906) 492-3538 Internet: Yes, there is internet! Lakefront: If you walk out of the slider door (closed during winter months), there is a deck with 3 steps, then, if you walk out about 40-50 feet, there is a fence. PLEASE DO NOT GO PAST THE FENCE! On the other side of the fence, there is only about 3 feet and then approximately a 30 ft drop to the lake. It is not a gradual slope to the lake--it is a very dangerous, steep drop off. This cottage sits on a bluff. so we do not consider it safe for children. Linens: Yes, we provide your basic bedding, sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you before you arrive. If you are fussy about the thread count of your sheets, just let us know, and we'll make sure we leave a bed open for your sheets. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillow cases and bath towels. Parking: There is enough room for about 2 trucks/small trailers to park in the circle drive. The house is on a very small dirt road, so be careful pulling in. Pets: We are sorry, no pets are allowed at this property. Enjoy this allergen-free home! Privacy: There is a home to the south of the chalet, and a cottage to the west. Trees separate the property. There is about 50 ft. that separate the houses. Seniors: On the main floor, there is a bedroom and a bathroom. Outside, there are 3 steps to gain entry to the home. Snowmobiles: YES! This is a great area for snowmobiling! A person (resident or non-resident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan, is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails, thousands more miles of public roads, and on public lands (where authorized). The permit is valid for one year, which begins Oct.1st and ends Sept.30th of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec.1st through March 31st, and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground. Space: 2-level home Televisions: There is one TV in the living room and one in the loft area. Both are smart TV's, so guests are able to live stream using their Netfix or other streaming accounts. There is no cable, but the owner has also added a Jamadots stick that gives you access to local channels-NBC, ABC ,COMET, CBS, PBS, and FOX. There are instructions at the property to change the input for access. Towels: Yes, we provide bath towels. It's always good to bring extra though. Washer and dryer: Yes! There is a washer & dryer in the master bedroom Wood: Not guaranteed. If there is wood, it will be in the middle of circle drive by the group of trees. We recommend you pick up some on your way just in case. There is firewood available for sale at the local gas station which is within 5 minutes of the Chalet.

Seclusion, Seclusion, Seclusion!!! Welcome to The Deer Drop Inn where you are in the middle of nowhere, but in the middle of everything! Our 1800 sq foot cabin sits back in the woods on five private acres with no other cabins in sight. It is very private. The only neighbors around have fur or feathers. Our home is 2.6 miles from downtown Hulbert. There are many attractions that are within an hour of the cabin such as Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point, Newberry, Oswalds Bear Ranch and the Soo. We have made many improvements to the home. There is new flooring throughout the home along with all new appliances and living room furniture. The couch also pulls out into a bed. There will be plenty of seating for everyone as there are three tables with chairs. There is Dish TV in the living room and the master bedroom. There are playing cards, card games and board games available to play if the weather is not cooperating. There is an expanding file and magazine rack that is full of brochures of area attractions, information and maps. Phone service is sketchy at best in the house. If you go back down the driveway toward the road you can usually pick up signal. Sorry no internet. There is plenty of space for parking for snowmobile trailers. Hulbert is a main hub for the trail system and Hulbert Rd is actually part of the trail system. You can go anywhere in the U.P. from Hulbert via the trails.
